Portland Street Pizza, located inside Eighty-Eight, is looking for a creative, high-energy Sous Chef to help lead our pizza kitchen. This role is perfect for a natural leader who loves great food, great beer and a great team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in leading, training, and inspiring a team of ~10 cooks 
• Run day-to-day kitchen operations and execute service on busy nights 
• Assist in ordering, inventory, food costing, and labor costing 
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and cleanliness 
• Regularly meet with Taproom management 
• Work on the line and lead by example 
• Assist with menu development and feature programming 

Schedule 

• Friday – Tuesday with Wednesdays and Thursdays off 
• Primary focus on evenings with occasional earlier afternoon shifts to accommodate for meetings, operational needs or shorter service hours

Eighty-Eight Brewing Company is looking to hire a full time (approx. 35hrs / wk) Packaging Assistant! Reporting to the Packaging Lead, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for packaging beer in cans and kegs. This position may offer opportunities for growth into other areas of brewery operations for individuals who demonstrate strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and capability. The role involves physical labor and non-standard working hours but also includes attractive benefits such as staff discounts and complimentary products, as well as being part of a growing and very rad team.

What You'll Do:

• Package beer in cans and kegs according to the brewery’s production schedule 
• Prepare packaging materials, assemble finished products, and ready them for warehousing, distribution, or retail 
• Perform tasks impacting beer quality in accordance with company standards, procedures and specifications 
• Maintain a clean and organized brewery environment, including equipment, tanks and kegs 
• Operate brewery equipment safely, efficiently and hygienically 
• Operate a forklift as required to support operational needs 
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent product quality 
• Accurately document completed tasks and communicate ongoing or upcoming activities 
• Physically capable of repeatedly lifting objects weighing up to 55 lbs and operating a pallet jack 

What We’re Looking For:

• Huge passion for craft beer, quality and curiosity of the foundations of what makes that happen
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Willingness to perform manual labor and work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends 
• Previous experience in a brewery or beverage packaging environment is an asset, though not required 
• Forklift experience is considered beneficial, but not mandatory
